a seasonal tradition

This tour combines the discovery of the Provencal crèches and the Christmas market in Avignon. It will also give you the opportunity to taste the local produce, wine, nougat and the thirteen desserts which are part of the renowned Provencal supper!

  • Day 1: Ventoux villages

    A guided tour discovering the charm of the Provencal villages and the splendid landscape of the Dentelles of Montmirail, a limestone mass which looks remarkably like lace.

    A guided walk through the heart of the capital of Contat Venaissin and visit to the Salon of the Santonniers set in majestic 17th century chapel.

    In the evening: the renowned « big Provencal supper ».  The owners invite you to share a warm and convivial atmosphere around their table.  On the menu:  traditional homemade dishes using the recipes of yesteryear and farm produce.  And to finish : the famous thirteen desserts!

    During this magical evening there will be a narrator who will bring to life all the Provencal traditions.

  • Day 2: Avignon

    Avignon has an extraordinary heritage: chapels, churches, ramparts, the Popes’ Palace and the Pont St Bénézet which is now classed as a UNESCO world heritage site.  The Avignon Christmas market is held at the Place de l’Horloge.
